Weekly Photo Challenge: Home
The 6th topic of Weekly Photo Challenge: Home
The term “home” has 2 meanings in this picture as it shows 2 components of home.
- The clothes line –> It’s a kind of home for dragonflies. They play and stay there all day long, perhaps for food. I don’t really understand why the clothes line is a good spot for hunting. Don’t you think that it’s really really hot to stay there for a quite long time. Huh, dragonflies… *anyway, at least they are not homeless
- The roof at the background –> That’s the roof of our home. I believe that most of you keep wondering what kind building is that. That’s our traditional house that we call “Rumah Gadang” (Eng: Big House). The architecture, construction, internal and external decoration, and the functions of the house reflect the culture and values of the Minangkabau People (People of West Sumatera Province, Indonesia). This kind of house has a unique roof (horn-like roof). Unfortunately, the roof in the picture above is not clear as it’s automatically blurred by the camera. Fortunately, I got plenty pictures of this traditional house, you can check it out in here.

I think a dragonfly, for example, would have no problems with a nuclear fallout, isn’t it?

Hmmm, I’ve been watching your posts for DailyPost Weekly Photo Challenge, and most of your themes used dragonflies, sort of 3 or 4 of them… I think you’re started out to be their fans.. đŸ˜† Just kidding…

Anyway… the dragonfly is amazing creature that’s easy to find and easy to capture as well. I am fan of nothing đŸ™‚
