Started on the beginning of 2012, I lived my daily life not so far from labs: focusing on my thesis research. Working and collaborating with many colleagues, helping each other to finish the project asap. Continuing my topic in finishing bachelor degree in pharmacy in 2007, I, again, worked in the field of cardiovascular to get master degree in pharmacy from University of Andalas.
This project started in January 2012, under the guidance of my two supervisors, we studied the antihypertensive effect of Cassytha filiformis, a common parasite for farmers. This herb has been known for its antioxidant activity. In this study, we investigate whether it can lower the blood pressure of hypertensive animal. I am not quite interested to write much about the research it self, but the stories in accomplishing it: in the lab.
In the lab, we work together and help each other among the researchers whether undergraduate or graduate students. My first step in this research was collecting the plant. We
